The "Unofficial" Index to Educational Twitter Hashtags

As you know, Twitter is my favorite social media tool for learning. One of the most effective ways to maximize your learning experience via Twitter is to figure out exactly which "hashtags" (the # symbol followed by a term or phrase) are the best to follow. As you learn quickly, there is no shortage of options, and if you are like me, you can feel a bit overwhelmed at first. Sure, there are the popular #edchat, #edtech, and most importantly, #NJED (@AliciaMackall and I started this hashtag at #NJASA #Techspo 2012), but there are many more focused tags that people are missing out on just because they don't know about them.

Thankfully, there’s an incredible live Google Doc available to the public from Chiew Pang (@aClilToClimb) that lets you help build a useful database of helpful hashtags. Be sure to check out the doc and the list below (up to date as of June 12, 2013). Good luck!
